Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is fulfilling the dream of owning a ‘pucca’ house of the underprivileged families living in kutcha houses.
Anganbai’s family was facing a huge financial crisis and it had become almost impossible to build their own ‘pucca’ house.
However, her husband Chhedudas understood the process of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and quickly applied for a pucca house.
He got his house sanctioned in the year 2019-20 under the scheme.
Before getting the house, Manikpuri used to live in a ‘kutcha’ house with his wife Anganbai, and 3 children. Chhedudas, who worked as a laborer, died during the corona pandemic.
But, he got a ‘pucca’ house built under PM Awas Yojana, which became a support for his wife and three children in the difficult times.
Smt. Anganbai Manikpuri said that the construction work of the house started in the year 2019-20 and the house was constructed as per the guidelines of the scheme.
A quality pucca house with a kitchen, door, and window was built. “It was my childhood dream to own a ‘pucca’ house with a small courtyard. Today this dream of mine has finally come true.”
She expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards the administration for fulfilling her dream. She said that she is also taking advantage of other government schemes like Nal Jal Yojana and ration card.
It is worth mentioning that after the death of the beneficiary Late Chheudas Manikpuri, his wife Smt. Anganbai Manikpuri, along with her three children, is living happily in a pucca house provided under the scheme.
