Proposals for ‘Mukhyamantri Virasat Jharokha Yojana’ and ‘Mukhyamantri Dharohar Darshan Yojana’ approved for the financial year 2023-24
To acquaint the general public and college and school children with the rich archaeological and historical heritage of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has approved two new schemes of the Culture Department.
The schemes of Mukhyamantri Virasat Jharokha Yojana and Mukhyamantri Dharohar Darshan Yojana will be commenced in the financial year 2023-24.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has approved the proposal to start these new schemes for the financial year 2023-24 after detailed discussions in the meeting of Culture Department held at his residence office here today.
Every year two colleges/government offices will be selected from each district of the state under the Mukhyamantri Virasat Jharokha Yojana.
Replicas of historical and archaeological heritage will be displayed in the selected college/government office. With this, along with the general public, college students will develop a sense of awareness and attachment towards the rich archaeological and historical heritage of Chhattisgarh.
Similarly, the objective of Mukhyamantri Dharohar Darshan Yojana is to encourage schools and college going students studying in state government-semi-government (aided) schools and to make them aware of their responsibility towards our historical heritage. Every year 3 schools/colleges from each district of the state will be selected for the ‘Chief Minister Heritage Darshan Yojana’.
In both these schemes, a committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the collector for the selection of schools-colleges and government offices. The Superintendent of Police/Chief Executive Officer (District Panchayat), the official representative nominated by the Director Archaeology, Archives and Museum, the District Education Officer, the person nominated by the District Panchayat and the principal of the college nominated by the Collector will be the members of the committee. The administrative department of both the above schemes will be the state Government’s Culture Department and the nodal office for their implementation of the schemes will be the Directorate of Archaeology, Archives and Museum, Raipur.
