Under the Suraji Gaon Yojana, the farmers of the district are voluntarily coming forward to donate paddy stubble for feeding cattle at Gauthans at the invocation of the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
The donation of paddy stubble is enabling the cleanliness and protection of the environment along with the availability of fodder for the cattle coming to the Gauthans.
At the appeal of the Collector Jitendra Kumar Shukla, farmers are voluntarily donating paddy stubble in Gauthans.
The CEO of the Janpad Panchayat is also motivating farmers for paddy stubble donations.
In the district-level Janchaupal camp organized in Berla yesterday, Berla’s farmers Santosh Netam Gopal Sahu, Mukund Chand Jain, Vijay Jain, Harshad Jain, Kamal Kishore Maheshwari, Bhushan Thakur, Shailendra Bhattar, and other farmers donated one tractor-trolley each of paddy stubble.
The MLA and the Collector of Bemetara felicitated these farmers.
It is noteworthy that for the preparation of Rabi crops after Kharif crops, burning the stubble is an uncontrolled combustion process which creates many negative environmental effects like the release of greenhouse gases, global warming, abuse of biodiversity, health-related hazards for humans and animals, loss of carbon, a decline in the fertility of the soil, and destruction of underground microorganisms and beneficial organisms.
The decline in the fertility of the soil causes a decline in the production of crops as well.
Under the Suraji Gaon Yojana, paddy stubble donations in these Gauthans are resolving this issue.
Paddy stubble donation has enabled not only the conservation of the environment but also the availability of fodder for animals and the manufacture of organic fertilizer.
