Chief Minister’s simplicity once again left a lasting impression on everyone
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai celebrated Govardhan Puja by worshiping a cow in the cowshed of his residence, personally feeding it ‘khichdi’ and jaggery.
He extended his wishes for happiness, prosperity and well-being to the people of the state during the festivities. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and Sports Minister Tank Ram Verma were also in attendance.
Chief Minister said, “Govardhan Puja is a holy day to express gratitude to the cow family. I wish Lord Krishna and ‘Gau’Mata – Cow that this folk festival of love for nature and charity brings happiness, prosperity and well-being to all.” Cow is an important basis of agriculture and public life.
Govardhan Puja is a festival of worshiping the cow family as well as taking a pledge to protect and serve the cow family.

When the distribution of ‘Prasad’ started after the worship of the cow herd, Chief Minister Sai first fed sweets with his own hands to Bhagwani Yadav, a cow serving domestic help and wished him Govardhan Puja. This simplicity and straightforwardness of the Chief Minister once again impressed everyone.
The Chief Minister wholeheartedly praised the work of cow service being done by Bhagwani.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister appealed to all the people to become partners in the work of protecting, promoting and preserving the cow family.
