State Nodal Agency Swung in Action After Hospitals Failed to Explain Satisfactory Reason for Irregularities.

The State Nodal Agency of Chhattisgarh has intensified its efforts to address violations of the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Ayushman Health Scheme under the Ayushman Bharat Jan Arogya Yojana.

Recent investigations revealed multiple complaints against several hospitals for a range of unethical practices, including imposing inflated package rates, unnecessarily admitting outpatient (OPD) patients to inpatient (IPD) care and charging for services without proper patient documentation.

Complaints also highlighted irregularities such as unapproved intensive care unit (ICU) usage, unsanitary conditions and demands for extra cash payments.

In response, the agency has issued show cause notices to the implicated hospitals. Those hospital which failed to provide satisfactory explanations have faced consequences.

As a result of these actions, the registrations of City 24 Hospital Raipur, Jai Patai Mata Hospital Patewa Mahasamund, Late Vidya Bhushan Thakur Memorial Hospital Rajnandgaon, Sai Naman Hospital Mahasamund, Umeed Care Hospital Balod, and Vegas Hospital Bilaspur have been revoked under the scheme.

The State Nodal Agency remains committed to ensuring compliance and safeguarding the rights of patients.
