Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated and laid foundation for a total of 49 development projects worth Rs 87 crore 25 lakh 77 thousand in Dhamtari district at the inauguration ceremony of Jal Jagaar Mahotsav held at Pandit Ravishankar Reservoir, Gangrel on October 5. These include the inauguration of 33 works worth Rs 65 crore 84 lakh 91 thousand and the foundation laying of 16 works worth Rs 21 crore 40 lakh 86 thousand.
The inaugurated projects include four works under Dhamtari Municipal Corporation amounting to Rs 30 crore 94 lakh 49 thousand, four projects under Public Works Department valued at Rs 26 crore 39 lakh 33 thousand, two projects under the Electricity Department worth Rs 4 crore 20 lakh 8 thousand, six projects under the Health Department costing Rs 1 crore 52 lakh 73 thousand, nine projects under the Janpad Panchayat Nagri worth Rs 1 crore 39 lakh 88 thousand, five projects under the Rural Engineering Services Division costing Rs 1 crore 13 lakh 40 thousand, and three projects under the Janpad Panchayat Dhamtari with a total expenditure of Rs 25 lakh.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Sai performed foundation laying ceremony for 16 projects worth Rs 21 crore 40 lakh 86 thousand. These include two projects worth Rs 7 crore 41 lakh 96 thousand under Public Works Department, three projects under Dhamtari Municipal Corporation valued at Rs 6 crore 37 lakh 14 thousand, two projects under Water Resources Division Dhamtari Code 90 costing Rs 4 crore 40 lakh 62 thousand, one project under Housing Board worth Rs 1 crore 86 lakh 53 thousand, four projects under the Rural Engineering Services Division costing Rs 93 lakh 48 thousand, three projects worth Rs 25 lakh under the Janpad Panchayat Dhamtari, and one project under CREDA (Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency) with an estimated cost of Rs 16 lakh 13 thousand.
Chhattisgarh Government has taken these extensive array of development initiatives to enhance the infrastructure and public amenities in the region, thereby contributing significantly to the overall growth and welfare of the people of Dhamtari.
