Rajnandgaon Yuvodaya is a joint initiative by the Rajnandgaon district administration and UNICEF aimed at engaging youth in creative and social activities
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Union Minister of Jal Shakti C.R. Patil officially launched the Rajnandgaon Yuvodaya initiative during the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ program held in Barga village, Rajnandgaon block, on September 28. As part of the event, they unveiled the Yuvodaya video, ODF Plus poster, and facilitated a street play on cleanliness performed by Yuvodaya children. A cutout display was also presented to promote the campaign. Rajnandgaon, Dongargarh, and Chhuriya development blocks were honoured for their exceptional contributions to cleanliness.
The Rajnandgaon Yuvodaya initiative, a collaboration between the Rajnandgaon district administration and UNICEF, focusses on promoting maternal and child health, nutrition, water conservation, sanitation, and other public awareness programs. The program seeks to involve youth in creative and socially impactful activities, fostering community development and engagement.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, MP Santosh Pandey, Zila Panchayat President Smt. Geeta Sahu, former MPs Abhishek Singh, Madhusudan Yadav, and Pradeep Gandhi, along with Khubchand Parikh, Zila Panchayat Vice President Vikrant Singh, Bharat Verma, Ramesh Patel, Barga Sarpanch Kumar Sonwani, and Joint Secretary at the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti Ashok Meena. Senior officials such as Durg Divisional Commissioner Satyanarayan Rathore, IG Deepak Jha, Collector Sanjay Agarwal, SP Mohit Garg, and UNICEF representatives, including State Advisor Chandan Kumar, District Coordinator Sushri Divya Rajput, and Yuvodaya’s Vinod Kumar Tembukar, were present. Seventy Yuvodaya volunteers also participated in the event.
