Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma visited Narmada Maiyya Temple and Jaleshwar Mahadev Temple in Amarkantak morning.
He performed customary rituals in both the temples, offered prayers and sought blessings from the deities. Sharma prayed to Ma Narmada and Lord Shiva for the peace, prosperity, and progress of the people of the state.
It is noteworthy that Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma had inspected the arrangements made for the ‘Kanwariyas’ at Mrityunjay Ashram in Amarkantak yesterday.
On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Sharma dined with the ‘Kanwariya’ devotees and joined them in this significant pilgrimage of the holy month of Saavan.
Special arrangements have been made under his guidance to ensure a smooth and safe 150-kilometer long ‘Kanwar Yatra’ from Amarkantak to Bhoramdeo Temple.
He has directed the officials concerned to ensure that the devotees do not face any inconvenience during the ‘Yatra’.
Following his directives, medical personnel have been stationed at more than 15 locations. Additionally, special security measures have been implemented, including four police patrolling teams and the deployment of Sub-Divisional Police Officers.
Detailed instructions have been issued to the Superintendents of Police to ensure the safety of the Kanwariyas.
Special arrangements for accommodation have been made in 20 different locations. At the Mrityunjay Ashram in Amarkantak, free meals and overnight stay facility has been arranged for the devotees.
The menu includes dal-rice, vegetables, and sweets such as kheer, puri, and halwa.
The Bolbam Coordination Committee and local authorities are actively involved in overseeing these arrangements.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma emphasized that the convenience and safety of the Kanwariyas are of utmost importance.
He assured that all the necessary arrangements have been made to ensure that devotees can complete their pilgrimage without any problem.
