5148 kiloliters of kerosene were allotted under the PDS for the month of February…

The Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection has issued instructions to supply kerosene through the Public Distribution System (PDS) to ration cards with gas connections in non-scheduled locations.

It is worth noting that 5148 kiloliters of kerosene will be sold at a fair price shop-wise for the month of February 2023 under the Chhattisgarh Food and Nutritional Security Act for ration cards and hawkers from the kerosene allocation received from the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, New Delhi.

The online allocation has been made. 5099 for PDS and 48.95 kiloliters of kerosene for hawkers. The Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection has sent a letter to all collectors and state-level oil industry coordinators to that effect.

According to the Food Department’s letter, all Antyodaya and priority ration cards issued under the PDS will be eligible.

A maximum of 2 liters of kerosene will be sufficient for ration card holders in urban areas, 3 liters for ration card holders in scheduled rural areas, and 2 liters for ration card holders in non-scheduled areas. Hawkers, on the other hand, have been given a separate allowance of 85 liters.

Ration card holders will be given kerosene by hawkers who will stand in front of recognized fair-price stores.

The district-wise kerosene allocation for the month of February is as follows. Allocation of 264 kiloliters of kerosene has been issued for Bastar district.

Similarly, 96 kiloliters for Bijapur district, 96 kiloliters for Dantewada district, 240 kiloliters for Kanker district, 204 kiloliters for Kondagaon district, 48 kiloliters for Narayanpur district, 108 kiloliters for Sukma district, 240 kiloliters for Bilaspur district, 48 KL for Gaurela-Pedra-Marwahi district, 132 KL for Janjgir-Champa district, 132 KL for Korba district, 108 KL for Mungeli district, 144 KL for Raigarh district, 96 KL for Balod district, 120 KL for Bemetara District, 156 KL for Durg District, 132 KL for Kawardha District, 196 KL for Rajnandgaon District, 144 KL for Baloda Bazar Bhatapara, 96 KL for Dhamtari District, 300 KL for Gariaband District,132 KL Mahasamund District, 228 KL for Raipur district, 300 KL for Balrampur district, 336 KL for Jashpur district, 108 KL for Koriya district, 348 KL for Surguja district, 324 KL for Surajpur district, 324 KL for Sakti district, 108 KLfor Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district, 84 KL for Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, 48 KL for Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district and 36 KL for Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district has been done.
