Industries in RIPA should be set up as per the interest of the local youth
Transfer of Rs 8 crore 03 lakh to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyaya Yojana
In his address to the virtual program organized for distribution of funds to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana, Chief MinisterBhupesh Baghel said that the ‘Rural Industrial Park’ being developed in Gauthans is proving to be tremendously beneficial for the local youths.
CM Baghel directed that the industries under RIPA should be established in accordance with the interests of the youth, as this would encourage the youth participation.
He also gave instructions to produce high-on-demand products in the units established under RIPA.
He was glad to inform that the industrial units being established in gauthans do not cause pollution.
Rural Industrial Parks are generating employment opportunities for youngsters and traditional craftsmen.
Chief Minister Baghel congratulated the farmers for the bumper production and tremendous sale of paddy in the state.
In the programme, Chief Minister paid an amount of Rs 8 crore 03 lakh to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyaya Yojana.
Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is creating records one after the other. So far more than 103 lakh metric tons of paddy has been procured, against the target of 110 lakh metric tons.
So far more than Rs 201 crore has been paid to cow dung vendors under Godhan Nyaya Yojana, since the inception of the scheme. Today, 60th installment was released under the scheme.
From January 1 to January 15, Chief Minister Baghel transferred an amount of Rs. 4 crore 27 lakh online to the cattle rearing villagers, farmers and landless in lieu of purchase of 2.13 lakh quintal cow dung from the Gothans.
Similarly, Rs 2.23 crore was transferred to Gothan committees and Rs 1.53 crore as dividend to the accounts of women groups.
It is noteworthy that Godhan Nyay Yojana commenced in Chhattisgarh from July 20, 2020. Under the scheme, 100.86 lakh quintals of cow dung has been procured so far at the rate of Rs.2 per kg. 201.72 crore has been paid to cow dung vendors against the procurement.
Till date, Rs 175.64 crore has been paid to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups. In this way, Rs 395.35 crore has been paid to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana so far.
Chief Minister also praised the self-supporting gauthans for procuring dung from their own funds.
In the fortnight from January 1 to 15, 2023, the self-supporting Gauthans of the state have paid more amount than the Agriculture Department to procure dung. Out of Rs 4.27 crore paid to cow dung vendors today, Rs 2.52 crore was paid by 4690 self-supporting Gauthans from their own resources and Rs 1.75 crore was paid by the Agriculture Department. So far, cow dung worth Rs 37.71 crore has been procured by self-supporting Gothans.
Chief Minister said in the program that along with vermicompost from cow dung, electricity and natural paint are being prepared from cow dung.
Presently production is starting in 2 natural paint making units in Raipur, 01-01 in Durg and Kanker districts. So far, out of 9709 liters of natural paint produced, an income of Rs 11 lakh 19 thousand 903 was earned from the sale of 4854 liters. Women self-help groups earned an income of Rs 23.98 lakh from the sale of insecticide Brahmastra and growth enhancer Jeevamrut, made from 1 lakh 20 thousand 171 liters of cow urine, purchased at Rs 4 a liter in Gothans.
Chief Minister further said that in response to his appeal, farmers have donated 15.68 lakh quintals of hay in gauthans. So far more than 27 lakh quintals of compost has been produced from cow dung.
More than 3 lakh 98 thousand villagers have been benefited from Godhan Nyay Yojana.
Out of the 10 thousand 921 gauthans approved in the state, construction of 9596 gauthans has been completed. Women self-help groups are flourishing as a result of the income-oriented activities conducted in gauthans and have so far earned an income of Rs 105.18 crore from the livelihood activities held in gauthans. Women in rural areas are becoming self-reliant and financially empowered. Presently, one lakh 31 thousand 898 women of 11 thousand 477 women self-help groups are working in Gothans.
