With the help of CREDA, 7 tribal families living on the mountain of Puta hill have been provided with electricity in the remote Vananchal area of the Gaurela development block.
Because of the lack of electricity connections, the tribal families of Puta village lived in darkness and has no access to electricity.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) has set up a solar home plant within six months from the DMF head to provide electricity to these families to light their houses.
Each plant installed, has a mobile charger port, a spot for a fan, and five spots for LED tube lights.
With the help of these solar home lights installed, tribal families will no longer need to use kerosene lamps for reading and writing at night in addition to the availability of lights and fans.
Even while solar lights have made their lives easier, they also feel safer from wild animals because there is light at night.
The Chief Minister was informed by the tribal families of village Puta of the issue of no power during his Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan on July 4, 2022, at Jan Chaupal in village Kotmi.
