Raipur. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has extended greetings and best wishes to the people of the state, especially all the mothers on the auspicious occasion of ‘Halshashti’ (Kamarchhath).
He has said that the festival is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna’s elder brother Balramji.
In Chhattisgarh, this festival is celebrated as ‘Kamarchhath’. On this day, ‘Sagri’ is made in the form of a pond in homes and temples. Women gather and offer prayers to Lord Shiva and ‘Sagri’ by offering pasar rice, Kashi flowers, Mahua leaves, and Lai.
On this day, women observe a fast and pray for the good health, long life, and prosperity of their children. The Chief Minister has prayed that the wishes of all the mothers come true, and that their children remain healthy and happy.
