Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended his warm greetings and best wishes to all the residents of the state, especially married women, on the occasion of Karwa Chauth. He expressed his hope for happiness, prosperity, and well-being in everyone’s lives.
In his message, Chief Minister Sai highlighted the importance of the Karwa Chauth fast for married women. He noted that on this day, women observe a ‘nirjala vrat,’ fasting without water, for the long life and happiness of their husbands.
It is believed that observing this fast with devotion and proper rituals ensures the longevity of one’s husband.
Women offer prayers to Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and the Moon, seeking fruitful fortune.
After a day of fasting, they conclude the ritual by offering water (arghya) to the moon and then breaking their fast.
