Chhattisgarh Government led by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is committed towards administrative decentralization to improve access to public facilities and ensure balanced development of all regions.
In this line, a new Tehsil Pondi (Bachra) was launched today. The commencement of the Tehsil office will save both time and money for people.
Besides, people of 33 gram panchayats in this area will get convenience in getting their revenue matters resolved.
Home, Public Works, and District in-charge minister Tamradhwaj Sahu who attended the launch programme virtually congratulated the people of the area on the launch of the new tehsil.
He said that with the creation of a new tehsil today, as per the direction of the Chief Minister, timely revenue facilities would be ensured to the people and this would strengthen the administrative work.
The Tehsil office was formally inaugurated by Parliamentary Secretary and Baikunthpur MLA Smt. Ambika Singh Deo.
Following this, she inspected the Tehsil office and congratulated all the people present there.
Zila Panchayat President Smt. Renuka Singh and Vice-President Vedanti Tiwari also congratulated and extended their best wishes to the public for the start of this new Tehsil office.
33 gram panchayats will be benefitted from the formation of this new Tehsil
With the creation of this new Tehsil, people of 33 gram panchayats will get the facility of resolving revenue matters.
The new tehsil will have one revenue inspector board and 15 ‘patwari halkas’. The Tehsildar has been directed to organize special camps in the gram panchayats for the redressal of revenue matters.

Expressing happiness on the launch of the new tehsil, Vijay Kumar Jaiswal of village Baima thanked Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
Villager Dilbharan said that they will no longer have to travel long distances for getting their revenue matters resolved.
He expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Chief Minister on the behalf of the entire region.
Local public representatives, administrative officers, employees, and a large number of villagers were present in the launch programme.
