Chhattisgarh government to start ‘Humar Beti-Humar Maan’ campaign for the safety of daughters.
Women police officers of the state will go to schools, and colleges and give information about legal rights and security measures to daughters of the state.
In a bid to provide a safe environment for women in the state, the Chhattisgarh government is going to start an innovative campaign named ‘Humar Beti-Humar Maan’ in the direction of women’s safety.
This initiative aims to protect the honor of women, provide them with a convenient and safe environment, and educate them about their rights.
Tweeting about this information today, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has said in relation to this campaign that “daughters are our honor; daughters are the foundation of bright future of the state.
just, progressive, and empowered society is the one which secures its women, only such society can be on the path of progress”.
Under the women-centric campaign of ‘Humar Beti-Humar Maan’, women officers and employees of the state police will visit schools and colleges in all the districts of the state and will create awareness on subjects like women’s legal rights, good touch, bad touch, molestation, sexual abuse, cybercrime, and social media. These women officers will also educate the girls on matters like crime prevention and rights.
Moreover, special women police patrolling will be done in girls’ schools, colleges, and prominent places where women and girls are present.
A helpline number will also be issued for the ‘Humar Beti Humar Maan’ campaign, on which the daughters of the state will be able to register their complaints, their problems, and report any kind of misbehavior or crime they have faced, which will be processed on a priority basis.
It has also been decided by the state government that the investigation of crimes related to women will be done on a priority basis only by women investigators.
The responsibility of ensuring that the investigation of such offenses is completed within the stipulated time and the challan is presented in due time will be under the IG range.
Also, girls in schools and colleges will be educated on how to use the application that has been launched for women’s safety.
The Chief Minister concluded by saying that there is hope that this campaign will prove to be a revolutionary step in the direction of enhancing women’s safety and dignity in the state
