Trauma Centre to Open at Sargaon; Eco-Tourism Centre to Be Developed at Madku Dweep
Chief Minister Sai Attends Aangan Milan Seva, Blood Donation and Free Mega Health Camp
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai gave a major development boost to residents of the Madku region of Mungeli district by inaugurating and laying foundation stones for 21 development works worth Rs 68 crore 96 lakh 96 thousand.
On the occasion, he also made several important announcements related to the expansion of healthcare, education, tourism, electricity, sports and public amenities. Chief Minister Shri Sai also attended the ‘Aangan Milan Seva, Blood Donation and Free Mega Health Camp’ organised under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.
Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Shri Sai said the government is committed to accelerating development and ensuring public services reach the last person in society. Villages should have good roads and better healthcare facilities, mothers and children should receive adequate nutrition, and every government scheme should reach low-income and needy families easily. With this approach, the government is working with sensitivity and commitment.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has placed service, good governance, and the welfare of low-income people at the centre of governance. Under his leadership, the country has written a new chapter of public welfare alongside development in recent years. In Chhattisgarh too, the government is continuously working to bring positive change to the lives of the last person in society by carrying forward the Prime Minister’s same spirit.
He said the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is not merely a campaign but a way further to strengthen the resolve of public service through public participation. Through the campaign, along with taking health, nutrition, sanitation and public welfare schemes to those in need, the spirit of service and cooperation in society is also being expanded.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said the true meaning of good governance is that citizens should not have to run from place to place for their routine needs, their problems should be resolved on time, and they should easily receive the benefits of government schemes.
To achieve this, the government is simplifying administrative processes and making them more transparent. Through initiatives such as e-Office, Chief Minister Helpline 1076 and Atal Digital Seva Kendras, governance is being brought closer to citizens.
The Chief Minister said the PM JANMAN Yojana is being implemented to improve the lives of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups. Through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the dream of pucca houses for low-income families is being realised. The government’s clear endeavour is to ensure that no eligible family is deprived of scheme benefits due to a lack of information or procedural difficulties.
Healthy Mothers and Well-Nourished Children Are the Foundation of a Strong Society
Referring to the Aangan Milan Seva programme, Chief Minister Shri Sai said Anganwadi centres are an important foundation for children’s nutrition and maternal health. The early years of a child’s life are the most important for their overall development. Therefore, special attention must be paid to their nutrition, health, immunisation and early care.
He said that through Aangan Milan, families, Anganwadi workers, helpers and health workers sit together and discuss issues such as children’s nutrition, care of pregnant women, anaemia, immunisation and sanitation. This initiative will play an important role in building healthy families and a healthy society.
The Chief Minister appreciated Mitanins, Anganwadi workers and helpers, saying their contribution to delivering health and nutrition services to remote villages is extremely important. Owing to their service and dedication, several government schemes are reaching households across the state.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said respect for women and their economic empowerment are among the government’s highest priorities. Through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the government is directly transferring Rs 1,000 per month to the accounts of around 68 lakh women in the state. This amount is providing women with financial support to meet their own and their families’ needs.
Get Timely Health Check-Ups and Give Priority to Your Own Health
Chief Minister Shri Sai urged citizens present at the Mega Health Camp to make maximum use of the health check-up facilities. He said if diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes and anaemia are detected in time, they can be treated more effectively.
He urged women to take care of their own health while caring for their families. A healthy mother is the foundation of a healthy family, and healthy families will build a healthy and empowered Chhattisgarh.
Congratulating those who donated blood in the spirit of service, the Chief Minister said blood donation is one of humanity’s greatest services. Blood donated by us can give a new life to an unknown person in need. Young people and all service-minded citizens who come forward to donate blood for society deserve appreciation.
Madku’s Heritage to Be Linked with Development and Tourism
Referring to the historical, religious and archaeological significance of Madku Dweep, Chief Minister Shri Sai said Chhattisgarh’s rich heritage is its identity and pride. Along with preserving it, connecting it with the younger generation is also our responsibility. Expansion of tourism facilities at Madku Dweep will further strengthen its distinct identity and create new employment and livelihood opportunities for local people.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said the State Government is moving forward by combining development and heritage. Important sites such as Madku Dweep will be preserved, while necessary facilities are developed, so more people from the state and the country can become acquainted with Chhattisgarh’s rich heritage.
Chief Minister Announces Major Projects for Healthcare, Education, Tourism and Public Amenities
Chief Minister Shri Sai announced the opening of a Trauma Centre at Sargaon Community Health Centre and the upgradation of primary schools at Pipar Dol and Lamti into middle schools. He announced Rs 15 lakh each to organise the Tala Mahotsav and Madku Dweep Utsav, and Rs 25 lakh to install a life-size statue of Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi at Avanti Bai Lodhi College in Pathariya.
The Chief Minister announced Rs 75 lakh for the establishment of an Eco-Tourism Centre at Madku Dweep, the construction of an indoor stadium in Bhatapara, and the construction of CC roads in 10 villages of the Bhatapara area at a cost of Rs 10 lakh for each village.
He also announced the establishment of 33 KV substations at Madku and Tumadhetha, Rs 30 lakh for constructing a building in the Kor Basti of Chandkhuri, and the construction of a community building at Madku.
21 Development Works Worth Rs 68.96 Crore Dedicated to the Region
At the programme, Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated completed works worth Rs 34 crore 77 lakh 19 thousand and laid foundation stones for new works worth Rs 34 crore 19 lakh 77 thousand.
The inaugurated works included eight works worth Rs 20 crore 07 lakh 61 thousand under the Public Works Department in the Lormi Assembly constituency and one work worth Rs 10 crore 68 lakh 06 thousand in the Bilha Assembly constituency. He also inaugurated works related to the Rural Engineering Services, Health and Family Welfare Department, and Police Department.
The works for which foundation stones were laid included one work worth Rs 8 crore 04 lakh 63 thousand in the Mungeli Assembly constituency under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Evam Vikas Yojana. Under the Public Works Department, foundation stones were laid for three works worth Rs 20 crore 88 lakh 29 thousand in the Mungeli Assembly constituency, and two works worth Rs 4 crore 83 lakh 85 thousand in the Bilha Assembly constituency.
The Chief Minister said these development works will expand roads, healthcare infrastructure, and other public amenities in the Mungeli, Lormi, and Bilha Assembly constituencies and give new momentum to the region’s development.
Preservation of Heritage Alongside Development Also a Priority: Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu
Presiding over the programme, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Shri Tokhan Sahu paid tribute to social worker Late Shri Shantaram Saraf on his death anniversary. He also remembered Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary.
Union Minister of State Shri Sahu said Late Shri Shantaram Saraf made an important contribution to bringing the historical and archaeological significance of Madku Dweep to the forefront. Because of his efforts, excavation work was carried out here, and several important facts about the region’s ancient history came to light. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is preserving its heritage alongside pursuing development. The government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai is working with commitment for the welfare of low-income people by following Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s path of Antyodaya.
Madku Dweep’s Ancient Heritage to Gain New Recognition: Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said Madku Dweep encompasses within itself Chhattisgarh’s ancient heritage and was an important religious centre in the 11th century. The State Government is committed to conserving and developing Madku Dweep. Various Central Government schemes are also supporting its development. He congratulated all those engaged in service who were honoured at the programme.
Former Assembly Speaker and Bilha MLA Shri Dharamlal Kaushik said Late Shri Shantaram Saraf had undertaken notable work to develop Madku Dweep and establish its historical identity. All of us have a responsibility to carry forward his work.
