Every village of Bastar region in Chhattisgarh has a deity and a Devgudi of its own.
Devgudi is the place where pujari of the village performs customary rituals.
And Chief Minister has taken up the responsibility to preserve these faith centers called Devgudis.
During his stay at Narayanpur, Chief Minister has announced that Devgudi would be established in all the gram panchayats of Narayanpur district with consent of the villagers.
At the Bhent-Mulaqat programme held today, CM Baghel performed Bhoomi Pujan there.
Development of Devgudis and monitoring of this work is being done by District Administration.
Adivasis are the carriers of the ancient civilization and folk culture of our country, and state government is committed to preserve and promote the same.
As per the instructions of State Government, district administration are making every possible effort to provide all kinds of facilities in Devgudis, so that tribal communities may gather at one place and perform their rituals conveniently.
During his Narayanpur tour, Chief Minister laid the foundation of Devgudi construction work. On the occasion, he said that Devgudi will be developed with the consent of villagers.
Devgudi renovation work is in progress in every village of 104 gram panchayats of the district.
Drinking water facility, electricity supply, solar lights, high mast, garden and other necessary arrangements are being made in Devgudis. With regular electricity supply in Devgudi, villagers face no inconvenience in performing their customary rituals at night.
Moreover, with the installation of solar lights in the outer area, now the villagers and children can go around and do their works even in the evening without any fear.
It is a happy sight to witness children playing in Devgudi premises in the evening.
Due to the installation of the highmast, Devguri premise remains illuminated till late night. Villagers are grateful to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for providing facilities like cities in the village.
