Minister Shri Verma paid tribute to the martyred soldiers on behalf of Chhattisgarh government

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has paid humble tribute to the brave martyrs on the occasion of Police Smriti Diwas.

Police Smriti Diwas is annually celebrated on 21st October in honor of brave policemen who sacrificed their lives while performing their duty. This day reminds us of the important role of policemen in maintaining the security and law and order of our country.

The Chief Minister said that the entire country is proud of the supreme sacrifice made by the brave martyrs of the security forces and police while discharging their duties.

Meanwhile, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tank Ram Verma on Sunday reached the 4th Battalion campus at Mana and paid tribute on behalf of the Chhattisgarh government to two Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel who were martyred due to a landmine explosion in Narayanpur district on Saturday.

The cause was incident has been ascertained to be an explosion in a landmine laid by Naxalites in Narayanpur district, ITBP jawans Amar Panwar and K Rajesh were martyred and two policemen were injured.

The martyred soldiers belonged to the 53rd Battalion. The martyred jawans Mr Amar Panwar belonged to Satara in Maharashtra and Mr K Rajesh belonged to Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh.

Their mortal remains have been taken to their native places by a special aircraft.
