Action should be taken to seize the assets of chit fund companies in other states.
Strict action should be taken by the police when it comes to crimes against women and children. To deter crimes against women, women patrol PCR vans will be deployed soon.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel stated that the Collectors and SPs of all the districts should maintain a close watch on security and peace while speaking at the two-day Collector and SP conference at New Circuit House in Raipur today.
He told that visible policing should be carried out while preventing crimes, actions should not be taken in a small scale but should be carried out in a clear action plans without providing statistics.
The conference is being attended by the Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Subrata Sahu, DGP Ashok Juneja, Divisional Commissioner, IG Police, and Collectors and SPs from each and every district.
Chhattisgarh’s DGP Ashok Juneja gave a briefing on the state’s crime scenario to the Chief Minister in the beginning of the conference.
The Chief Minister received a thorough update from Juneja about the actions taken against chit fund businesses.
It is important to note that Chief Minister Baghel places a high premium on returning investors money from chit funds.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, however, expressed disappointment with the tardy response in chit fund cases and ordered to take immediate action against the chit fund businesses.
The Chief Minister instructed chit fund businesses to pursue court-ordered attachment of properties in other states as soon as possible in these situations. It is important to note that a sum of roughly Rs.40 crore has been refunded to the investors as a result of the state government’s efforts in pursuing tough action against the chit fund organisations.
The Chief Minister gave instruction, saying that a strict watch should be kept on drugs entering the state coming from nearby states, and their smuggling should be stopped.
The Chief Minister highlighted the need for close coordination with the neighbouring states at every level in order for the police to take rigorous action against the narcotics network.
The Chief Minister further instructed him to make sure that he intervenes at the source of such cases, not only in violent incidents brought on by intoxicant use, but also to address the root of drug addiction.
He sternly questioned why alcohol is so widely accessible in each district.
According to the Chief Minister, strict measures must be made to ensure that alcohol should not be available.
The Chief Minister further instructed the SPs of all the districts to take the hardest possible action against internet gambling during review meeting.
Chief Minister Baghel gave the police strict instructions to deal with crimes involving women and children while reviewing the prevention of crimes against women.
According to him, victims of crimes against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes should receive help payments right away, and any instances of knife-pelting should be handled immediately.
He gave the SPs of all the districts instructions to adopt a zero-tolerance approach to offenders and ensure that similar occurrences should not occur.
The Chief Minister also instructed all district SPs to concentrate on visible policing and advised all SPs to go on night patrol by themselves.
In order to combat crimes against women, the state would shortly begin with women- PCR vehicles for patrol.
Everyone has been given instructions by the chief minister to exercise caution in order to maintain state’s peace and order.
