Villagers thanked Chief Minister for promoting Chhattisgarhi culture and cuisine.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel visited village Jevartala of Gunderdehi constituency today under his Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan.

People of Jevartala welcomed their Chhattisgarhiya Chief Minister by weighing him with ‘Ayirasa Pakwan’.

They thanked Chief Minister for promoting Chhattisgarhi culture and cuisine.

Touched by the affectionate gesture of the villagers, Chief Minister thanked them for their love, faith and support.

Ayirasa Pakwan is a delicious sweet made of Jaggery and Rice Flour
Made of jaggery and rice flour, Ayirasa Pakwan holds a special place in Chhattisgarhi cuisine.

To prepare this delicacy, rice is washed and left to dry overnight. The rice so dried is then grinded in ‘dheki’ and then the rice flour so made is mixed with jaggery syrup and fried in oil to prepare Ayirasa Pakwan.

This dish is an important part of the local festivities of the state.

From Bore Basi to Ayirasa, Chief Minister is promoting the entire range of Chhattisgarhi cuisine

Conservation and Promotion of Chhattisgarhi Culture is the top priority of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

It was the Chief Minister’s initiative to celebrate Bore Basi at state level for the first time.

Declaring holidays on local festivals and organizing grand celebration of these folk festivals are also the part of Chhattisgarh Government’s efforts to promote the indigenous cultures and traditions.
