Capital investment is getting incentive for setting up industries in the state.

New industries are coming up due to conducive environment for the establishment of industries.
With the establishment of new industries, the possibilities of direct and indirect employment are also increasing in the state.
Under the Ease of Doing Business, the Chhattisgarh government has simplified the rules related to the establishment of industries in the new industrial policy 2021-2024.
In which a single window system has been implemented to simplify the process of getting clearance for the establishment of industries.
A Provision has been created for the establishment of industries by the entrepreneurs of scheduled caste,scheduled Tribes and women of the state.
Under this, for the establishment of industry with a capital investment of 5 Crore,a grant of 25 percent with the maximum limit of 50 lakh Rs has been decided.
For OBC entrepreneurs ,10 percent land reservation has been decided in the state, whereas in the earlier industrial policy there was no provision for Other Backward Classes (OBC).
Land allotment by the government has also been reduced by 30 percent and land rent by 33 percent.
Online facility has also been provided for many such services. Several steps have been taken, including allotment of land for industries and practical provision for freeholding of land, which is creating an industry friendly envireonment in the state.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, industries are not only getting a boost in various sectors in the state, but the prospects of industrial development in the state are also being encouraged and industry related innovation is being encouraged in every sector.
A total of 2 thousand 2 hundred 18 industrial units have been established in the state in the last four and a half years, in which an investment of Rs 21 thousand 4 hundred 57.29 crore has been made.
So far 40 thousand 3 hundred 24 people have got the means of regular employment in these industries due to the industrial friendly policies of the Chhattisgarh government, where new industries are being established in the state.
Along with the cities, a new wind of change is taking shape in the rural areas of the state as well.
Small processing units are being set up in rural areas, processing, packaging facilities are also being provided on the basis of local availability, which is also benefitting the industry and business sector.
So far 4,861 food processing units have been established in the state, in which 4 thousand 635 people have got employment with an investment of Rs.930 crore 88 lakh.
The Government of India is also appreciating the manner in which the policies are being implemented by the Chhattisgarh Government for industrial development. Recently, Chhattisgarh has been honored as an aspiring leader for the development of startups ecosystem in the States Startup Ranking conducted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
Many commendable initiatives have been taken by the Chhattisgarh government to encourage startups. In which the establishment of Startup Policy, provision of tax exemptions and grants for startups, establishment and up-gradation of incubators are the major initiatives.
Provisions have been made for co-working space, mentorship, funding and technology support for startups through incubators.
To promote the establishment of industries, Chhattisgarh government has signed 177 MoUs.
In which capital investment of Rs 89 thousand 597 crore is proposed, out of which more than 90 units have started the process of setting up industries.
Whereas 11 units have started commercial production, in which capital investment of Rs 1513 crore and employment to 2 thousand 515 persons of the state has been received.
An amount of 423.15 crore fixed capital investment grant has been provided to the industrial units of the state.
In the last three and a half years, the industrial units of the state have received an interest subsidy amount of Rs. 140.97 crore.
For the establishment of new food park, land has been identified in 112 out of 146 development blocks and transfer order of government land has also been issued in 52 out of the identified development blocks.
So far, a total of 10 new food parks have been approved. Out of which infrastructure development work has been completed for establishment of food park on 5,900 hectare government land in village Sukma of Sukma district.
The food park will be prepared on the basis of availability of regional resources with the aim of increasing employment opportunities for the local people.
The state government is also encouraging setting up of ethanol plants. An agro-based ethanol plant will soon be started in Kawardha district, where ethanol will be made from sugarcane.
The government has included the establishment of ethanol plants in the category of high priority industries in the Industrial Policy 2019-24, which will get 10 percent more industrial investment incentives than general industries.
With the establishment of plants, regional employment opportunities will increase and will become the basis of economic prosperity in the state.
