Dantewada gets special attention at the health conference held in Geneva
Chhattisgarh’s health services have been appreciated at the headquarters of the World Health Organization (WHO) situated in Geneva.
Bastar’s health services were showcased at India’s stall in the two-day International Conference organized by the World Health Organization on the theme ‘Human Resource for Health’ on December 6 and 7.
The stall showcased how health facilities are being provided in remote areas of Chhattisgarh. A documentary on the Mukhyamantri Haat-Bazar Clinic Yojana produced by the World Health Organization was also screened at the conference. Chhattisgarh’s health services have got the distinction of representing the country in the global conference.
At the international conference held in Geneva, India’s stall showcased how better health facilities are being provided in Bastar with limited human resources. A special place at the stall was given to the health workers and officers providing health services in Bastar.
Life-size cutouts of the Community Health Officer of Tudparas Health and Wellness Center Ms.Anju Khare and Mitanin of Chitlanka Mrs. Shanti Sethia both belonging to the Dantewada district were installed at the conference. Dr. Roderico Ofrin was the representative of India at the conference.
‘Mukhyamantri Haat-Bazar Clinic Yojana’ of Chhattisgarh has been praised globally by the World Health Organization. WHO has also prepared a documentary film on this scheme of Chhattisgarh government, which has covered the health facilities provided to the people in the villages of forest areas and remote areas.
Recently, this documentary was released at the residence office of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in the presence of Health Minister T.S.Singh Deo. The film was also screened at a global conference held in Geneva.
